Shadow Sample Book

It is difficult to imagine reality without shadows. We would be moving in a two-dimensional plane. We would not have an understanding of time as we wouldn’t know the moon is a round thing. It fascinates that something so inevitably present at all times is so difficult to grasp and comprehend.
At the same time, the painter, the photographer, the philosopher, the fashion designer, the architect and so many other creative professionals relate to shadow or found a way to develop a handwrite with the use of them (shadows).

My shadow-research focuses on shadow plays that go beyond the old-fashioned silhouette game for a white sheet. By working with shadows, you can change the experience of your environment and by doing so also the perception of reality changes.
Many commissioned works relate to shadow play and my Shadow Sample Book and photo-archive counts hundreds of shadow images. Images with which I create new designs.
